There is never a shortage of advice, particularly when it comes to
finance. Every other magazine and newspaper tells you how you can beat
the markets. But I feel that this is ultimately selfdefeating, because
if everyone is following it, how can you benefit? Rather than general
platitudes, I value advice that is more specific and tells you how to
crack a problem. For instance, people are always telling me that real
estate is the investment that will yield rich returns. My father has
been handling my Indian investments and tells me that stocks are the
best investment. I’ve concluded that stocks are the best way to beat inflation. One thing that emerges from most good financial advice is that you have to take risks to get good returns.
