Because last year, the Bhaskar group launched 12 new editions, of which three were of their English daily DNA in Pune, Ahmedabad and Surat, the remaining of the flagship brand Dainik Bhaskar in cities like Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala, and of the Gujarati paper Daivya Bhaskar into Bhuj, Jamnagar, Surat and Rajkot. Because serving the new-age paper has helped them take their advertising revenues from Rs 500 crore in 2007 to over Rs 680 crore now.
