Eating joints are also capitalising on the mood of Valentine's Day and giving tempting offers to lure couples.
Fast food chain Nirula's is offering 'Love By Chance' a combo for two with exclusive gift items. It comprises a heart-shaped pizza specially created for twosomes and beverages.
"We understand our customers and we want to give them something special, so what better than this? I am sure they will like it," Sudipta Sen Gupta, Nirula's senior vice president, marketing and sales, told IANS.
"People do love to gift, but the fact is that when people hardly get any time to spend with their loved ones they look forward to days of being together for some time. We cash in on such opportunities and offer them the best," she added.
Manjeet Bullar, owner of Little Italy Villa Falconieri cafe, feels ambience plays a vital role in attracting the young.
"After food, ambience plays a vital role in attracting the crowd especially on Valentine's Day when couples want to get a bit cozy and mushy. We have that advantage and are looking forward to seeing the response," Bullar said.
"We will also have some poems written on cards and we will give it to couples so that they can settle down for long conversations," he added.
