MAN ON A MISSION
Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale
                          1984
He died as spectacularly as he had lived and terrorised Punjab. India Today reported his death in Operation Bluestar in these sombre tones: "Half-dried streams of blood streaked down its (a truck in the Kotwali police station) sides. A sub-inspector, tears in his eyes, asked me to look inside. There were bodies, at least a hundred. Less than 500 yards away lay the body of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale on slabs of ice. His last stand had cost nearly 1,500 lives." Here he blesses All-India Sikh Students Federation secretary Harjinder Singh Sandhu and his bride on their wedding.
