About the Awards

In a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at bringing together the education sector, Educomp & India Today Television are joining hands to recognize and reward principals and teachers under various categories.

The Educomp India Today Educational Excellence Awards aim at acknowledging the efforts of faculty across multiple categories from around the country, enabling them to showcase their expertise and skills at being leaders in the education sector by creating excellence in their systems.

Participants across the country will be registering for the Educomp India Today Educational Excellence Awards. The awards will have three stages -

The launch

• The categories will be announced.
• Entries will be invited from faculty across India to nominate themselves in different categories of awards.
• These events will be seen as a build-up to regional awards culminating to a national award.
• For each region there will be a regional award event hosted in a major city with finalists from that region.

The Evaluation

• The nominations for regional rounds will have a filtering process basis select criteria.
• From every regional event, we will have winners in each of the three categories who will qualify for the national award.
• 4 regional nominees will be chosen from each category.
• The jury will evaluate the calibre of the participants and basis this, final winners will be chosen.

The Grand Finale

• Shortlisted participants from the regional awards will be invited to a glittering gala event in Delhi.
• A group of panellists are invited on the final day and the jury will ask a series of questions to assess the finalists.
• Based on the feedback of the jury - one winner and one runner up is selected in each category.

The following awards are awaiting the participants -

• Teacher of the year
• Principal of the year

Each of the above categories have subcategories:

• Evaluation of individual principals and teachers will be based on how well they perform in the sum total of each of the subcategories.
• A participant can apply in all categories/only a few categories/just one category.
• Each subcategory will also have an award.
