The owners of Mughal Darbar wanted to create an empire that would compete against the mighty Karim’s. Fortunately for us, Mughal Darbar remains small and quaint. It offers an alternative to those forever on the search for the unique, the original, the individual.
We recommend the Mutton Ishtu and the thick yellow Mixed Dal, both eaten with soft rotis. Eating at Mughal Durbar can be a surreal experience. The balcony is the makeshift premises of a tailor, so you eat your ishtu just across from a row of forlorn sherwanis hanging on a rack.
