Pornography

• Three in five men approve of pornography. Ahmedabad emerges as the most favourable town in respect of pornography with some 78 percent claiming to approve of it. This is followed by Kolkata and Ludhiana. (76% and 73% respectively).
  
  
• While three in five men approve of pornography, the proportion of those actually watching it is higher with nearly three in four saying they have seen it. The incidence of porn is particularly high in Ahmedabad and Delhi..
  
  
• Over one out of four men who have watched pornography watch it often. Men from Hyderabad (54%) followed by Ahmedabad (43%) register the highest frequency of pornography consumption across the centres.
  
  
• For 47% of all men who have watched pornography the first exposure happened during teenage.
  
  
• Initiation to pornography is most commonly ascribed to friends. Over three in four men.
  
  
• Nearly 68 percent of all pornography-watching men have been inspired by pornography to try new positions.
  
  
• Almost half (47%) of all men say their sex partners approve of pornography. Sex partners of men in Delhi (62%) are most approving across the board. This is followed closely by Hyderabad & Ludhiana at 58 percent. Some 13 percent of all pornography-watching men watch porn without the knowledge of their partners.
  
  
• There is a near equal split between print and video formats with one in every two pornography watching men reporting either. Video pornography finds the highest patrons in Hyderabad (70%) followed by Lucknow (70%). Pornography patrons in Ludhiana (78%) and Jaipur (67%), on the other hand, are most partial to the print medium.
  
  
• Celebrity porn (43%) and Indian porn (44%) are the most common types of pornography watched. MMS porn has an incidence of 10 percent. Children/ school girl porn has an incidence of 22% with preference in Delhi.
  
  
• Friend is the most commonly reported source of pornography supply with nearly three in five men reporting as much. Ludhiana and Kolkata report this as the most common porn procurement modality. Indicating easy and ready access to porn.
  
  
• 20 percent of all porn-watching men in Hyderabad admit having made their own porn videos.
  
  
• One in six porn-watching men at the aggregate level says they are willing to participate in a porn video given a chance. Bangalore has the highest levels of willingness for participation with over one in three porn-watching men saying as much.

Incest

• Some 31 percent of all those who say they've had sex with their blood relations say they do it sometimes. The most commonly reported incest partner for incest is the sister. Of all those reporting sexual encounters with blood relations, 69% say the act was consensual.
